Clearleaf privacy statement

Clearleaf does not collect or send any personal information. It has no account, no analytics and no adverts.

Clearleaf opens the files you choose and keeps a list of recently opened files, your open tabs and your settings on your own PC, so it can pick up where you left off. If you drag a picture out of Clearleaf into another app, it saves a temporary copy for that app to take, which is deleted when Clearleaf closes. This information never leaves your computer, and it's all deleted when you uninstall Clearleaf.

When you look at a picture, Clearleaf can show details stored inside the picture file, such as the camera and the place a photo was taken. It reads them from the file only to show them to you. Clearleaf never uses your PC's location.

Clearleaf works offline and never loads anything from the internet. If a document includes pictures from the internet or a network, Clearleaf shows their address instead of loading them. Web and email links in a document are never opened; you can copy their address instead. Clearleaf doesn't open files on network drives or shared folders.

Clearleaf displays documents using Microsoft Edge WebView2, which is part of Windows. Like other parts of Windows, WebView2 may connect to Microsoft, under your Windows privacy settings. Clearleaf itself sends nothing.
